iOS 9.x Re-restore Bug Even More Powerful ON 32-bit Devices

Image
It was thought that the bug would mainly be of use for people downgrading from iOS 9.3.5 to a lower firmware, to jailbreak with Home Depot or Pangu9. However, it turns out the bug is in fact more powerful and wide-ranging than previously thought, and may have much wider utility. However, it turns out the bug in fact affects every firmware change in which iOS 9.x is the destination. This means that as long as you are going to iOS 9, you can use it to upgrade from iOS 6-8, or even to downgrade from iOS 10 without a jailbreak. This is of course big news, and hopefully our readers have been taking our advice and saving their blobs. As long as you have correct blobs saved for any firmware from iOS 9.0-9.3.4, you should be able to downgrade/upgrade to that firmware, and use Pangu9 or Home Depot to jailbreak. Users stuck on iOS 10 can return to a jailbreak, and users on iOS 6-8 who want to upgrade but missed the window can move to iOS 9. iOS 9 users can move up or down as they please, a

Last Chance to Downgrade from iOS 10.3 Betas and Save Blobs for iOS 10.2.1

Image
The signing window for iOS 10.2.1 could close any moment now, what with the upcoming release of iOS 10.3, so this is your last chance to save your blobs for iOS 10.2.1, or to downgrade to it from the iOS 10.3 betas. iOS 10.2.1 is not currently jailbroken, so at the moment its blobs are not of use, nor is being on that firmware a guarantee of a jailbreak. However, you never know what’ll happen, so act now! Don’t be left out in the cold when signing ends. Downgrading to iOS 10.2.1 is only for testers of Apple's beta software, currently running a higher firmware. Bugs are patched with every iOS release, and jailbreak tools do not generally support the current firmware anymore, so these users should consider a downgrade. As for saving .shsh2 blobs for 10.2.1, this is highly advisable while they are still available. These blobs should let you use Prometheus to move to iOS 10.2.1 later, if a newer jailbreak is released for it. You can use iPhoneGuide to download firmware of iOS

Jailbreak Tweak NoClose: Avoids iPhone Back Ground Apps From Crashing

Image
Sometimes when force-quitting apps from your App Switcher, you end up closing an app that's playing media in the background by accident. This forces you to re-open the app and re-play the song you were just listening to from the beginning… If you do this quite often, then you probably have App Switcher OCD and are clearing your App Switcher more often than you need to, but that's beside the point; a new free jailbreak tweak called NoClose by Skylerk99 can help prevent you from accidentally force-quitting apps that are playing media in the background by prompting you beforehand. After installing NoClose, if you play any form of media in the background on your device, and then try to force-quit the app that's playing it, you will get a message like the one above that confirms with you if you’re sure you want to close the app or not. You will get the options of going ahead with closing the app, or reconsidering your choice and keeping the app running as your media c
